why I compete
The never-ending fascination of long dives and exploring boundaries in freediving is something that comes from a very deep and authentic place within me. Preparing for competitions involves a structured approach anchored into my life.
That way I am everyday moving a little bit into the direction of longer, more relaxed dives. That motivates and encourages me to get up every day with a smile, well knowing I am right on track. Tracking progress enables insightful comparisons, fostering continuous adjustment and learning.
Freediving challenges not only breath-holding capabilities but also demands mastery in mental resilience, flexibility, strength, and diving techniques. Since mid-2023, I've expanded my training in various freediving disciplines, complemented by regular gym workouts, advancing my Yoga practice, and mastering proper swimming techniques. Therefore I am connected with experts across diverse areas and regularly challenged to move out of my comfort zone. The harmony of these elements coming together is truly magical and beneficial for sustaining my healthy life.

My journey in competitive freediving is deeply rooted in my passion for sharing training techniques and engaging with top freedivers worldwide.
Competition preparation is divided in phases that vary from basic training periods that focus more on general fitness and strength to specialized trainings like diving deep in lakes or oceans. Moving along the mix of different challenges brings immense joy, witnessing my body grow stronger and more intelligent day by day.
